Yang Xu's artworks that form part of a larger intellectual exercise in which he investigates how two-demensional painted images can transcend time and space and evoke multiple mediums. This enables viewers to recognize that his images are not meant as individual static pieces but rather to be viewed as motion in a scene of a film. Much like the unfolding of a tradtional scroll, where the viewers moves from one scene to the next by physically unrolling the next section of the scroll.
