Zhu Wei
Trained in traditional ink painting, apart from his sculpture, renowned Chinese artist Zhu Wei works solely on paper ( original paintings and prints ). Inspired by the eccentric 17th century painter Bada Shanren. Zhu Wei's works have brought to the forefront, Chinese ink and colour on paper as a medium in the international contemporary art world. While many contemporary Chinese artists use oil as their primary medium, Zhu Wei seeks to reform and re-imaging ink on paper painting.
