Wang Mian

Wang Mian has continued to advance in his artistic career since the sculpture series 'Myth . Journey to the West'. 'Come, Go, Return' links the past, the present and the future together, creating a realm of samsara with oriental connotations. The artist thus conveys his imagination of and longing for a Pure land of the Orient, against the backdrop of cultural colonization and the corrosion of material desire. Through the depiction of celestial wonderland, he describes such realistic motifs as growth and truth, longing and disillusion, and hope and ruins.
