Yu Aijun
Through working on the front of a canvas, with an acrylic painted image on its back, Yu Aijun presses the back image of the canvas onto a new piece of blank paper, which creates a method of indirect painting. By using the rubbing technique, the painting process looks like a Shamans performance. He is obsessed with this performance-like and intensive labored painting process. In order to achieve the uncertainty, he applies loosing strokes on the canvas, and transfers the back painting into a new image on the paper.
